In 2024, as an unprecedented wave of elections spans over 60 countries, impacting more than 4 billion people, the stage is set for a high-stakes gamble on the trajectory of our collective future. 

Amid a world recovering from a pandemic, swinging between political extremes, grappling with new technology, rising armed conflict, withering trust in institutions and dipped progress on human rights — to name a few setbacks — a new generation of leaders has come of age.  

All of these insights promise the feminist sector a comprehensive analysis of how recent global trends impact a critical asset in feminist future building: youth-led grassroots advocacy. Additionally, they provide pathways forward for supporting and strengthening young feminists on the frontlines as they prepare to tackle a future full of unprecedented challenges. 

The year of elections will put the conscience of our global citizenry to the test, and its outcomes will reverberate for decades to come. In this defining moment in modern history, we zoom in on young leaders on the frontlines of progress in key electoral states and observe this global reformation through their eyes. 

Join us as we journey to identify pressure points for young feminists illuminated by the global anti-gender equity backlash, gain insights into their temperament and organizing attitudes, and map where these leaders currently place their hopes, concerns, and immediate needs.
